  • Barron Valley Juniors Head to State Championships

Thirty-eight of our fantastic Aspire MAG & WAG gymnasts qualified this year for the 2017 Junior State Championships!  We are so proud of each and every one of  our junior BV stars for putting their best efforts forward at this prestigious event.

There were many individual results that we can celebrate across the three days in Brisbane. More importantly, we celebrate the Barron Valley spirit and the commitment each of our gymnasts made!

Thanks needs to go to all of the families who travelled to Brisbane to attend Jnr States and for offering such wonderful support from the crowd and in preparing the kids.  And of course, a huge shout out to our awesome coaches and judges who show such dedication, support and care always. Well done Barron Valley team!!!

One of our lovely parents helped us out with our team photos this year.  Each member will receive a copy of the team photo via email.  Thanks again Natalie for your support!

We had a variety of great results, too many to mention here, please go to:  www.beyondthescores.com to check these out.

Special Mention to:

  • Zaine Cahill-Burchill took the silver all around medal in the MAG L5 Open
  • Cayden Cahill-Burchill placed 5th All-Around in the MAG L3 Open
  • Gerard O’Brien placed 6th AA in the MAG L6 Open
  • Aimee Gowlett placed 3rd AA in the L6 U12 division
  • Makayla Ghidella placed 5th AA in the L6 U13 division

Our Barron Valley Level 3-6 gymnasts gained a great deal from the Jnr States experience and we now hit the ground running making sure our gymnasts have the best opportunities to continue to grow and develop their skills.  This is the time of year we look at where we are heading once again, and begin the process of making sure each gymnast is in the most appropriate training team in preparation for 2018.
