Delta St Hilda's Southport Venues

At Delta St Hilda's Southport we have two venues located just 300metres apart which have been designed to maximise teaching and safety for our students.  While each venue caters for a different range of classes, they both provide :-

  • Permanent safety matting around each piece of equipment to ensure children feel safe and secure as they learn new skills.
  • A range of equipment to enable teaching to groups with small ratio's of 6 - 10 gymnasts per coach.
  • Equipment placed to provide optimal teaching in a safe environment.
  • Additional teaching equipment to accelerate learning for children.

St Hilda's   (Whitby Street, Southport)
The St Hilda's venue has been specifically designed to cater for motor development classes through to high level competitive gymnastics. The venue now caters for specialised motor development classes for the students of St Hilda's as well as classes for 5 year olds through to 15 year olds from the St Hilda's and the local community.

The venue includes a foam pit that enables the teaching of high level skills on all four Women's Artistic Gymnastic apparatus as well as spectator seating area as well as an extended competition arena to host Delta and State events.

The venue also boasts a full Rhythmic Gymnastics floor which enables coaching and preparation of girls for both external and school competition.

Southport    (Queens Road, Owen Park, Southport)
The Southport Venue includes appartus for both Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics as well as a comprehensive range of equipment for Motor Developement classes through to recreational and development.

The venue has been equipped by the Southport Gymnastics Club to cater for girls and boys of all ages through to high level National competition.

The Southport venue includes 5 beams, 10 sets of bars (two over pits) , 3 ring assemblies, two pommels, two vault areas (one with access to a foam pit), an olympic size floor area with two tumbling stips access to the foam pit and a full size trampoline with access to our foam pit.

In short, the Southport Gym provides one of the best training facilities for high level gymnastics in Queensland.  The St Hilda's venue is designed for gymnasts of all ages and standard and provides one of Queensland's best venues for gymnastic competitions.  In all we can provide for all ages, levels and types of gymnastics.
