On Friday 11th we met at the Southport Sharks function room for a wonderful night of celebration and consideration of the wonderful year we had in 2009.  The girls and boys were treated to slideshows, dinner and of course we had dinner together. 

Our most prestigeous awards were won by Bianca Ruysennaers (Gymnast of the Year) and Jayden Williams (Men's Gymnast of the Year) and we witnessed a special tribute to Bianca who announced her retirement from the sport.

On Saturday 12th the Delta Brisbane Contingent converged on the Kedron Wavell RSL for a night of festivities and contemplation as we looked back on the year that was 2009.

Special thankyou to Wendy Gilliver who put together some amazin video clips of the year which really heightened the enjoyment for all.

Our Gymnast of the year is our Level 7 National Champion Sydney McIlwaine and we also had two level 10 retirements in Alex Trezise and Steph Zietek who were interviewed on the night to tell us what Delta and Gymnastics has meant to them.

All awards will be posted on the website by the 1st January and the video clips, and photo's  should be streaming by the start of the new year as well.

We wish all Delta members a very Merry Christmas, a safe holiday and look forward to sharing with you another great year in 2010.
