St Hilda's Southport - State Team Trials a success!

Our St Hilda's Southport program continues to show the gymnastics world that it is a force in gymnastics in both Men's and Women's gymnastics.

Our Boys Tim Wilson and Jayden Williams have successfully been selected to represent Queensland at the National Titles to be held at Chandler in July.

Tim placed 4th overall in the Level 7 Open Regional Championships and won a silver medal on rings and a bronze on Vault.  Jayden placed 3rd Overall along with 2 gold medals and will represent Queensland in Level 8.

Jorden Read also competed in the Level 6 Open division and won Gold medal on Floor and placed 8th Overall.

Bianca Ruyssenaers lead the girls team with a Third place overall and selection to the Level 9 Team.  Samantha Pearce came from behind to move up to sixth place and will join Bianca on the Level 9 Team.

Jade Rowe had a great first round to be sitting in 4th in the Level 9 division and had an unfortunate ankle injury which ended her comp. Based on Jade's first round of competition and previous National Titles results Jade was selected to represent Queensland as an individual at the National Titles.

Grace Conforti continues to improve and her 9th place in the Level 8 division qualified her to compete for Queensland at the upcoming Border Challenge to be held in Caloundra in September.

Congratulations also to Alicia Biggs who performed well in the Level 7 division and showed that she will be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come as she continues her strong improvement in strength and flexibility.

We congratulate these gymnasts and thank them for being the wonderful role models they are.
