Are you ready!?!  A resounding yes was the response from the 200 plus members that descended on Delta Gymnastic's St Hilda's venue on the 15th/16th May for the much anticipated Winter Carnival.  And it wasn't just the gymnasts that were excited, the Delta coaches couldn't wait to walk the children through the circuits and help them show their parents, friends and family just exactly what happens during Delta gymnastics lessons. 

The first session saw alot of letter T's and Y's as our youngest gymnasts took to the equipment providing an excellent opportunity for photographs, clapping and woops of encouragement from the crowd.  With Bindi playing in the background our Early Movers, Groovers and Early Gym Start members performed beautifully with every participant receiving a gold medal for their efforts. 

Following the first session's presentations, next up it was time for our largest group of members with our Gym Start students arriving in force.  This was also the start of the reporting phase of the carnival where all gymnasts in this group and above received a certificate with feedback on the reverse side indicating their level of development.  These gymnasts had been preparing specific skills  in recent weeks of classes to show the judges how well they could perform their 'Step'.  In addition to their certificate they too recieved a medal to congratulate them on their hard work and achievements so far this year.

Our final Carnival session didn't take place until Sunday morning with the afternoons filled with the Delta Duel competition but the last session proved to be an impressive display of budding gymnasts.  This session included members from all of Delta Gymnastic's Plus (invitation only) classes, and our Gym Explorer and Gym Mover participants which meant we were at the upper end of the 'Steps' scale.  All gymnasts showed impressive mastery of the skills displayed and all faces were smiling during the medal presentation giving a great sense of satisfaction to all involved and reminding us why we absolutely love what we do.
